Adv. Kahlon’s drastic letter to the attorney general, in which he announces his intention to ignore her legal instructions, is further proof of his complete unsuitability for the sensitive role of civil service commissioner, even in an acting position. This blatant defiance of the attorney general’s binding opinion demonstrates the danger of appointing a person with no suitable managerial experience to such a significant position, and indicates a basic lack of understanding of the principles of administrative law and the role of the commission. The Movement for Quality Government in Israel will continue to act with all means at its disposal to terminate his term and ensure a worthy and appropriate appointment to the position.
