Neighbors welcomed the activity and expressed support for the attorney general; the public understands that she stands guard for the rule of law
Activists of the operations department of the Movement for Quality Government in Israel launched a special poster campaign last night (Thursday) in the neighborhood where the attorney general, Gali Baharav Miara lives, with dozens of posters supporting her with the message “You’ll never walk alone!” were hung throughout the area around her home. The activity received warm and supportive responses from neighbors, who welcomed the initiative and expressed support for the attorney general in her fight for the rule of law.
The activity is part of the Movement’s broad campaign of support for the attorney general, which includes bus signs across the country and a legal battle in the Supreme Court against changing the mechanism for dismissing her. The goal is to convey a personal and direct message to the attorney general and all employees of the state attorney’s office that the Israeli public stands by her and supports her in the campaign against the government’s attempts to oust the attorney general and harm the state attorney’s office.
“The neighbors welcomed the activity and expressed support for the attorney general; the public understands that she is standing up for the rule of law,” said the Movement’s activists. “It is important that the attorney general knows that she is not fighting alone. Every morning when she leaves her house, she will see that the public is with her and will receive the reinforcement she needs to continue to stand firm for the rule of law against a government that is trying to eliminate the independence of the legal advisory mechanism and destroy democracy.”
