MQG’s Policy and Legislation Division leads the charge against anti-democratic legislation in the Knesset, government offices, and the Supreme Court. This division aims to champion the democratic agenda of moral integrity, transparency, and fighting governmental corruption by actively promoting bills addressing these vital issues among Knesset members, engaging in committee discussions, and fearlessly petitioning the Supreme Court when necessary. Our administrative litigation experts handle diverse cases within administrative, public, and constitutional law. The collaboration between this division and other legal divisions in the Legal Department enhances our effectiveness when dealing with government authorities, administrative bodies, and Supreme Court hearings for petitions we submit.

Local authorities play a vital role in providing essential services to residents, from welfare and education to infrastructure and sanitation. Deficiencies in their conduct directly impact residents’ well-being. Despite not always making headlines, corruption and improper administration often occur within local authorities.

his division provides essential support, offering legal counsel and ensuring the well-being of whistleblowers. By offering individual aid and advocating for legislative changes, the division strengthens whistleblowers’ legal standing and broadens their protections. MQG ensures rigorous investigations of disclosed facts by relevant authorities. While handling numerous inquiries, the division selectively assists whistleblowers in crucial cases, guiding them through legal procedures. Additionally, MQG’s legal team actively promotes amendments like Amendment #3 of The Law for the Encouragement of Integrity in the Civil Service and aids whistleblowers in uncovering corruption in influential bodies such as the Israel Prison Service, Israel Lands Administration, Tax Authority, and major municipalities.

Each year we receive nearly 1,000 inquiries from the public addressing issues related to improper administration in both local and central government authorities. We also assist whistleblowers in uncovering corruption in their workplaces, many of which result in legal proceedings managed by other departments within MQG.
