The Movement for Quality Government in Israel presented its position in the additional hearing in the Supreme Court regarding the appointment of the Civil Service Commissioner today, 21 September 2025, and demanded that the request by the government and the prime minister to annul the May ruling that established a competitive process for a permanent appointment to the position be rejected.
Adv Rotem Bavli Dvir, Movement for Quality Government in Israel: “The additional hearing is an irregular procedure requested by the government and the prime minister in a ruling that established a competitive and permanent procedure for the appointment of the civil service commissioner. We believe that the conditions for an additional hearing were not met here. Therefore, we believe that the request for an additional hearing should be rejected and the ruling should be left in place so that the commissioner can be appointed through a competitive and permanent procedure.”
