A senior officer who leaks confidential IDF documents to an indicted prime minister, knowing that the documents will be presented in a misleading manner to the public for personal political purposes, crosses a dangerous red line. A situation in which IDF officers violate their oath of loyalty and harm the professional independence of the army must not be allowed. In times of war, when public trust in the IDF is critical, it is especially important to uphold the rules and enforce the law impartially.”
