The latest data presented in our petition to the High Court of Justice shows a resounding failure to conscript the ultra-Orthodox. Netanyahu’s statements are a direct continuation of the policy of draft-dodging and maintaining the exemption from conscription, while creating the appearance of addressing the issue.
The Movement calls on the Supreme Court to intervene immediately and force the government to effectively implement the High Court’s ruling, while setting clear timetables and real sanctions. There is no longer room for continuing to allow the evasion from the draft solely due to political proximity. It is time for the burden to be shared equally.
