The Movement for Quality Government in Israel: “The events taking place at the Sde Teiman base are a serious violation of the rule of law and of the most basic principles of democracy.
Breaking into a military base and attempting to interfere in proper investigation procedures, especially by elected officials, are acts that have no place in a democratic country. The Movement strongly condemns any attempt to exert political pressure on the military law enforcement system and takes very seriously the statements of incitement against the military advocate general.
We call on the attorney general to immediately start an investigation of all those involved in these events, including the members of the Knesset and the ministers who took part in them. It is our duty as a society to support law enforcement agencies and allow them to carry out their duties without fear or favor. The Movement for Quality Government in Israel will continue to stand guard and act with all the legal means at its disposal to ensure the preservation of the rule of law and the values of democracy in the State of Israel.”
