Economic Department

Our Economic Department plays a vital role in upholding good governance by monitoring economic agreements to safeguard public interests. We disclose crucial economic information affecting citizens’ lives and advocate for responsible spending through position papers and petitions presented to parliamentary and regulatory committees. We combat corruption and promote legislation to prevent centralization, ensuring public funds are used for their intended purposes. Our proactive approach uncovers misspent public funds, and we assist various groups and individuals addressing financial agreements from small initiatives to large-scale sectors. Together we champion transparency, fight corruption, and protect the public’s financial rights. In 2023, the department returned 2 billion NIS in public funds.
