Adv. Tomer Naor, VP for legal affairs at the Movement for Quality Government in Israel: “The circumstances described paint a grim picture of a violation of the law by a minister in the Israeli government. When a high-ranking public figure comes to court and makes contact with those suspected of serious offenses who are close to her, this creates serious concerns about obstruction of justice. Someone who is under criminal investigation cannot be allowed to continue to behave as if the law does not apply to them. We demanded that the attorney general take immediate action to summon the minister for investigation, both for the original suspicions and for suspicion of obstruction of justice.”
