The opening of an investigation under caution against acting civil service commissioner Adv. Roi Kahlon, on suspicion of misleading statements on his résumé regarding his managerial experience, requires his immediate suspension from the position. A person who is being questioned under caution on suspicion of falsifying his résumé cannot head the Civil Service Commission, the body responsible for ensuring the integrity and upholding of ethical standards in the civil service. The Movement for Quality Government in Israel calls on the prime minister to act immediately to terminate Kahlon’s appointment, and to take urgent action to appoint a worthy candidate who meets the professional and ethical standards required of such a senior and sensitive position.
